Dr. Eric M. Hao is an accomplished independent scholar, a speaker of PONAMS/TCM/acupuncture, and an educator with extensive experience in intractable pain management. He has been practicing acupuncture for over 26 years and specializes in treating intractable pain and functional disorders.

Dr. Hao began his career in dentistry but soon passed two certification exams held by the World Federation of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society (WFAS) and was granted certified acupuncturist and Dr. of acupuncture in 1998 and 1999, respectively. Dr. Hao practiced acupuncture alongside dentistry and later became an international speaker on the Power of Nature Acupuncture Medical System (PONAMS), formerly known as Collateral Meridian Therapy (CMT). Dr. Hao was impressed by PONAMS's ability to manage complex cases with reproducible success and went on to earn his master's and doctoral degrees in Chinese medicine and acupuncture from the United States.

Dr. Hao has gained breakthrough advancements in treating various types of neuropathy/neuralgia, numbness, whiplash-associated disorders, RSD/CRPS, immune modulation, autonomic dysfunctions, autoimmune disorders, and long COVID. He is also the developer of the first PONAMS-based herbal formula system, which works in collaboration with acupuncture to enhance and prolong therapeutic momentum driven by needles.
