"I first met Dr. Eric Hao in 2012 when he arrived from Taiwan to study at the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM) in Austin, Tx. I was a student there and was amazed to find someone with his in depth knowledge of the subject taking the same classes I was. It was when we started working in the student clinic treating patients that Dr. Eric really demonstrated a natural gift for helping patients with acute and chronic pain find relief.

I suffer from chronic back pain which can be overwhelming and Dr. Eric treated me using VFT (now called PONAMS) and the seasonal points. I was amazed at the relief he was able to provide using points that we had not learned in formal classes. I wanted to know how Dr. Eric could successfully treat the different cases he was seeing with minimal needles and always with results, that’s when I learned about a different treatment technique called PONAMS.

I have attended the Basic and Intermediate PONAMS classes Dr. Hao has held where he has provided one stop treatment techniques for common acute pain issues that we see on a regular basis in the clinic such as low back pain, sciatica, neuropathy in the feet, golfer’s elbow, neck pain radiating down into the shoulders, and so many more symptomatic issues that have eroded the quality of life of patients.

My go to techniques now revolve around the fundamentals of PONAMS and the treatment techniques Dr. Eric has taught in each of his classes. He is a gifted instructor and his demonstrations are always point on. I believe the cost of his classes has been money well spent since the PONAMS technique of treatment has allowed me to have so many happy patients due to the relief they have found.
I encourage other acupuncturists and TCM practitioners to take Dr. Eric’s courses to expend their basic knowledge and gain insight into new concepts of provided the best care for your patients. You will not be disappointed and I know you will continue taking his courses to gain advanced knowledge.
I look forward to attending his Advanced Concepts class."

"My name is Kevin Luo. I graduated from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM, now CIIS) in San Franciso, CA, in 2006 with a Master of Science degree in TCM. I have been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine in Austin, TX, since 2007.

I first heard about VFT (currently called PONAMS) from several students of mine at Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM, now Texas Health and Science University - THSU). Even though I didn’t personally know Dr. Eric Hao at that time, he has a reputation of being quite a knowledgable and experienced practitioner from Taiwan among fellow students. Out of curiosity and my trust in his integrity, I started taking basic VFT classes in 2015 and also took an intermediate class in 2016.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve learned many different acupuncture treatment techniques. I have to say that PONAMS provides a solid theoretical structure and a very precise way of treatment implementation. When done correctly, the clinical effectiveness can be astounding and immediate. To me, as an acupuncturist, this instant feedback of amazement from the patients is the most rewarding and is the strongest driving force for me to want to know more about the system and its potential.

Even though PONAMS system contradicts some of the concepts in Traditional Chinese Medicine and can be complicated in applying in clinical settings, I strongly recommend other fellow TCM practitioners to learn and utilize in their practice. It’s a powerful and effective system that is certainly worthwhile to invest the time and energy into it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. I guarantee it."

"I took the basic class in 2008 both in Chicago and Los Angelos and have used the material to help acute pain ever since. In 2016 in Chicago I took intermediate class and your instruction was excellent both in the basic and intermediate. Also a big thank you for helping my wife with her post-herpatic pain.. I did like the homework we had in the basic classes... I feel any one taking your class will be totally satisfied and Money well spent."

"I learnt POMANS in 2014, and now I am on Level two. I wasn’t a true believer in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and I only use A-shi point on my patients for pain relief. Due to my Physical Therapy background, I recognized muscle and nerve more than Qi and Meridian. One day, I shared my thought with Dr. Hao, and I told him that I didn’t believe in Meridian Theory. Ten minutes after that conversation, we had a CRPS patient. She was my first CRPS patient, and I had no idea how to treat her. Dr. Hao applied POMANS on her, and he decreased her pain from 10/10 to 4/10 right after that treatment. That really changed my viewpoint, and that made me want to learn more. Providing acupuncture treatments with POMANS, I can effectively reduce pain level immediately on most cases from my 6 years of Acupuncture practice. However, some cases are still challenging for me. Therefore, I took Level II course from Dr. Hao. POMANS not only promotes my skill but also helps me to understand both Tradition Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine. If you are a TCM practitioner, you don’t want to miss the opportunity of learning POMANS. This theory does not conflict with TCM; instead, POMANS can answer lots of questions which you didn’t realize or learnt from TCM school. If you are a Western practitioner, POMANS has more possibility than any other modality. There is nothing wrong to have more tools to help your patients."

"My name is Mu Fan. I am licensed acupuncturist in Texas and hold a Master Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I have practiced acupuncture in Texas for 7 years. I first heard about PONAMS was from one of my friend. I attended the basic and intermediate class of PONAMS in 2015 and 2016. Compared to traditional acupuncture treatment method, I feel that when I apply PONAMS in my practice to treat pain or numbness conditions for my patients, the treatment result is much more effective and more persistent. I would highly recommend that other acupuncture practitioners to learn PONAMS. It definitely is a powerful technique to help patients to alleviate pain or numbness conditions."
